APCD conducted the Internal Capacity Building Training on UNCRPD utilization in the workplace.

On Thursday, 7 May 2026, the organization conducted an internal capacity building training session on the topic “UNCRPD utilization in the workplace” at Northgate Hotel, Bangkok.

The Session aimed to enhance staff members’ understanding and increase concrete action to utilize CRPD within APCD Context. There were 13 staffs from Administrative, Community Development, and Information & Knowledge Management Department and staff from Internation Cooperation, Department of Empowerment of Person with Disability (DEP) joined the training.

The program began with an introduction to the training program and self-introductions led by Ms. Siriporn Praserdchat (Logistics Officer, APCD), followed by a greetings message from Mr. Punnapoj Phaladech (New Director of the International Cooperation, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEP).

The session continued with an introduction of the facilitator and an overview of the UNCRPD and its key concepts by Ms. Supaanong Panyasirimongkol (Networking and Collaboration Officer), together with co-facilitator Ms. Prim Kaewpradab (International Cooperation Officer) from DEP. They also delivered a session on “How to utilize UNCRPD in the workplace”, followed by a group exercise session.

Participants engaged in interactive activities, exchange the comment and feedback on various topics such Respect, Protect and fulfill, to empowerment and inclusion development of person with Disability.

The training concluded with an engaging Q&A session and a summary of key takeaways and a basic sign language learning by staff with hearing impairment from APCD with support verbal transplantation by Ms. Prim Kaewpradab. This activity not only strengthened self-awareness among staff members but also promoted mutual understanding and positive collaboration within the organization and strengthening the collaboration with Government sector. The knowledge gained from this session will contribute to fostering a more supportive and productive working environment.
